Heard from Yee Wah last sat. Am really thankful and encouraged by the decisions she'd made out of obedience and love for God. Despite the fact that it was long when I last talked to her abt the issue and she came to only make the decision recently, I'm so encouraged that she remembered what was told to her and continues to seek the Lord wholeheartedly, asking whatever questions she has on her mind. Am so encouraged. Thank God.
Heard from Ms Wah last friday. Am also so thankful for her humility to listen and bow down to the Lord in obedience. =)
Yesterday was an eventful day. Had AGM and cellgrp. The incidents that happened in the whole day made me ponder over loadsa things. That feeling that I'm so sinful is back again. But the reminder that my sins are forgiven by grace is so important that I do not dwell in self-pity. Thank God for His grace.
Watched Nancy Drew with Liqun and Christine. It's a good show. I caught at least one teaching point. If this show's based on the book (which i think likely), the writer's brilliant. The mood's very like Harry Potter - prisoner of Azkaban, which leads you to think of something but had a very nice twist. Despite guessing rightly, the emotions of fear (and excitement) were still there as you follow the scenes. Ooh.. Good deal. And Emma Roberts' indeed purrteeee!!
Thank God for the good time of fellowship too at the newly renovated coffee bean at JP.

I got my laptop!!!
Thanks to daddy.
Was really considering if i'd need one or whether it's a want. So after a few weeks/months, i thought i really needed one. Be it for lab reports, for convenience in vetting projection slides, for typing minutes and stuff for events, for chatting with contacts on msn, it'd be a good investment. Thus, i prayed and hoped that the Lord would provide me one. And He did.
But i'm supposed to return my dad the money probably after i graduate or sthg. hhaa.. I guess it's just like providing for him when he's old. Yep.
Hrmph..

Thank God for bringing me through today, yesterday and the past few days.
I feel, felt, am still feeling tired.
Was really stressed by the pressing deadlines for the upcoming event. Have ungraciously mistook another person for jamming up my whole sop. and was very angry, transgressed, wrathful, you name it. So being stranded alone on the streets of Tanglin, I was reminded by something (I think it's the Lord) that I'm probably stressing myself up. So I took time and prayed while walking. Seriously, prayer works wonders. When I presented everything before the Lord, I had more peace and I realised I may have blamed the person wrongly for something which I thought I did but I didn't. So thank God for the whole process.
Thank God also for a sister, who invests in dresses and lends me onetwo yesterday. Haha.. whose name rhymes with ah meng. you get the idea. Oh she was the one who gave me the pencil. wahahah..
Thank God for Huey, who's called the person for the games for the event.
Thank God I met Esther on the streets yesterday during st e, and it happened that she changed her number, and now I could ask her for help to book the venue for the event.
Thank God for Hannah, who gave me details for the venues which I was searching for, for the event. Thank God we fixed an appointment to swim next week and have dinner next week.
Thank God for friends who are ready to help.
If you are wondering what the event is, it's the 150707 event. To be revealed soon.

This was also something that I thought of posting last friday.
I was tuitioning two kids last friday chemistry. It made me realise I love chemistry even more. And the more I love it, the more I want to tell people about it and help people with it. Then an idea struck me (again. haha).
If we tell people about God, we'd remember and even grow in our love for Him. and when we love Him, we'd want to tell people about Him!
I hope it make sense.
It's no chemistry/chemical formula. It's english.

This is from my QT material I'm using. I found it very interesting and wanted to post it a few weeks ago. The title of the whole mat's "Lord I need grace to make it today".
Here it goes...
Have you ever taken a good look at the Ten commandments? They are pretty reasonable, aren't they? No murder, adultery, stealing, coveting. Anyone ought to be willing to keep them, especially if a person acknowledges the existence of God. The children of Israel thought so when Moses gave them God's commandments.
Exodus 24 3 When Moses went and told the people all the LORD's words and laws, they responded with one voice, "Everything the LORD has said we will do." 4 Moses then wrote down everything the LORD had said.
The children of Israel obviously found God's commandments reasonable. They intended to keep them. But they didn't!
And what about you? Have you found God's commandments keepable? Have you always loved God? Have you ever put anything in His rightful place, making an idol of that person or thing? Have you always honored your father and mother? Have you ever committed adultery or murder-if not physically, then mentally? Have you wanted something that belonged to somebody else?
When you broke any of the Ten Commandments, how did you handle it? What did you do to make it right with God? Write your answer here. [literal from text] Please take some time and think about it before scrolling down.
What did you write, Beloved? When your foot slipped and you transgressed God's holy Law, and you found yourself clutching the slippery rock, hanging on for dear life, did you look to the grace of God to rescue you? Or did you pull yourself up, determined to keep on trying to please God?
I was struck when I read this. Hrmph. Reminded that though we are saved by grace from the consequences of sin, we are also saved to live in grace.

back from malacca. the trip was so refreshing. so many tksgvg.
thank God for safe journey thank God for auntie soo li who was my room mate and took care of me thank God I was able to mix with the kids thank God for allowing me to still manage giving the instructions for the games despite my throat was a bit sore
I was corrected yesterday. (in fact everyday which was milder but ytd was when i felt the pain) I'm thankful to the person who was kind enough to tell me. despite the fact that I was a bit uncomfortable, but I realised the person must have gone through much thinking, practicing and rehearsing to tell me the truth in such a tactful manner. Thank God.
Everything happened at the right time and flow. Then was service when I was reminded of Christ's love and God's grace for me through the songs and message. Our Lord is indeed a gracious God who showed compassion on the leper when no one would want to go near him.
I learnt many things frm aunti soo li. She showed me an example of sisterly love. I went on the trip alone, without knowing anybody except bee ngoh (but she left earlier) so when she saw that I was alone sometimes, she'd come to talk to me. tho I didn't really required that, cos I was thinking of some things.. but I appreciated that. in the morning, when she saw that I was trying to wake up, she'd go and use the washroom first to give me more time to slp. despite her leg injury, she still walked with me in mahkota at night. (the rest went for dinner earlier) the talks at night before we sleep helped me to observe and saw how dependent she was on the Lord in everythg she does. prayerful and crediting it all to the Lord. learnt abt being a teacher from her too. she sparked off ideas in my head. wahaha..
In the team were 2 guys who are 24 years old. one's a lawyer to be and the other an IT trainer. They were talking abt their church stuff while we were eating the famous nadeje's crepes. I realised that every church have their own problems. so i learn to give thanks and trust in the Lord to work. The IT trainer knows malacca really well. He brought us to many places with good food. We had desserts from the baba shop along jonka street. I had baba chendol. It was yummy. Quoting from Roy (heard from Bee Ngoh), I'll never have chendol elsewhere. erm.. unless it's more yummy then the baba chendol.
Also heard from aunt stephanie that in her church are 2 public prosecutors who commit themselves to service to God weekly despite their hectic schedule as lawyers. I was very encouraged. Heard these people were serving as worship leaders.
From the trip, I brought back with me a more burdened heart for the kids there. Wld hope to go back agn. I came back with also a chellenged heart to serve more diligently for my God. He's so gracious to have pardoned me from my sins. what can I do but to give my life to Him?
It's indeed refreshing to leave the country sometimes. I agree with Huey. --------
I looked at my results before I left. I did better than my previous semesters. It is really by God's grace. i didn't even know what I was doing throughout the semester. I wonder if I could draw this link. when we prioritise God in its rightful position, He takes care of the rest.

Back.
Glad I went to the camp. Had a great "chat" with shaoning's mum on the last night. She's a treasure man. I merely asked her one question and she gave me an hour's "lecture". Shld talk to her more often. You get great insights. She gave me a revolutional understanding of Daniel and the Judaism culture. And it involves the roman catholic bible. Hrmph.. Got a very big shock when she told me about the history of stuff.
Hrmphs, history is pretty important to really understand and to know the context of the bible. Once you know the history, you'll straight away know how the bible applies to us. And truly who God is.
-------
Saw the different sides of people in the camp. Like wei song being very cheeky. wahaha. I couldn't believe my ears. wahaha. and jieling's good in making props. wooh..
