This girl, I think she's trying so hard to please Simon.
Guess what, out of the three judges, I too, am most impressed with Simon despite his horrible tactless critics.
When I was watching the AI top 12, it got me thinking why ppl liked Simon too.
I think, sometimes, we respect people who tell us the truth. Even though at that point in time, we may feel really hurt (Ouch, pride), but after thinking back, you respect that person.
At least I do. When I look back, I remember and respect people who scolded me even though I didn't take it well at that time. I know that these are the ones who's truly concerned for me to be able to bring those words out of their mouths.
Kudos to these people. =)
And there's one truth I'd like to tell people as well, whether it hurts or not. The most important truth:
But these (what John, 1 of the 12 apostles wrote before this was written) are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have (eternal)life in his name. - John 20:31
(Said by Jesus) Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. - John 17:3

I'd "idolised" my watch.
I've been so dependent on it that one day, when I made a deliberate act to not bring my watch, at the same time realising I forgot to bring my handphone as well (and hence couldn't tell time), I felt very lost.
I've lost my sense of time. In the past, I could make good estimates of time when I didn't have the habit of wearing it.
Br... Maybe that's why I'm always late.
Since the day I realised this, I haven't been wearing my favourite white Levi's watch. It's still a struggle.
But thankfully, I think my sense of time is coming back.
Arghed.

You know.. It's so easy to think that we're good when we do things well. It's how easy pride creeps in. It manifests itself in so many ways.
Speaking from own experience especially for the past one week.
1. Beginning to feel good about ourselves 2. Beginning to think we can do many more things 3. Feeling stress very easily, often fearing that we cannot meet our expectations 4. Desiring excellence in things which we think we are good in
In the past, I tried very hard to hide it. For fear that people would not accept me. Hence, I put up fronts. Now, because of God who loves me (and "forced" me by disallowing such happenings through ppl) and constantly reminds me from His word, I am able to combat this very thing which caused the "arch-angel" fall - aka pride.
Have we tried too hard to own things which actually doesn't belong to us?

On a brighter note,
Easter is coming! The day when our Lord Jesus Christ won the battle he "seemingly" lost in the garden.

Sometimes, I know what's happening to another person by reading the blog of the person or by sms.
But.. It's kinda sad. Because, it could mean we don't relate as much.
Last time, for meetings, we'll be late for at most 15-30min. But now, because of this
We change appointments so easily according to our time. We can be so "late" that sometimes we don't bother to appear.
When take train rides, every one's bothered about this device that...
They play music so loudly for whatever reasons..
They stare at it the whole while. (Okay, sometimes on the laptop)
They talk really loudly when people beside them are sleeping.
How sad. So in our own world. Okays, I'm guilty of it too.
Ex 20 4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.
