Jap classes makes my day. All my senseis are so funny.

Being able to proceed on my project makes my day less stressful.

Talking to the lady at the X-ray crystallography lab makes my day. I trouble her so often with my crystals that she remembers me. She probably also remembers me as the girl who has a big patch of blue-black on the left arm. Oh, she gives me free gifts for me to separate my brown and yellow crystals.

Growing nice-looking crystals makes my day. They look so pretty under the microscope.

Meeting my favourite tuition kid makes my day. She tells me really silly things and laughs sillily which makes me laugh. I love her sponge bob jokes.

Humans can be hypocritical at times.

Sometimes, the reason why we do the "right" things is just so that we will not get scolded by people, so that people will like us. In a sense, we have very low self-esteem. Our esteem is built on how people look at us.

This is why sometimes, we try to conceal our (sinful) nature, we try to be nice and we can actually mock at people who apparently are "hypocrites", "irritating", "attention-seeking", "rude", "rebellious", "inconsiderate", "full of vulgarities" you name it...

Isn't this ... hypocritical itself?

We are left with this. When we are good, we are not good. When we are not good, we are definitely not good.

So I have a problem with religion. When people say religion teaches you to do good things, in a sense, it can also teach you to be a hypocrite.

It is worse and saddening for people who profess that they are Christians, who know that doing good deeds cannot save them from their sins, but they behave as if they are better because they do more good deeds than other Christians, they take pride in that good deed, and they go around discussing about that "worse" person, sometimes in name of helping the person.

"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" Jer 17:9

We have a deceitful heart. If you do not know.
