I have been wanting to post, but have been really really busy and tired with things. But, thanks to Huey, who reminded me and encouraged me and thus this post. =)
This is my 2.5 week in Japan. 3.5 weeks to go. God is very good. Before the trip, I merely asked for providence of money, but He blessed me with many things from various people. The list is very long. It goes all the way from providence of medicine, sanitizer, multi-pin plug, luggage to people offering to send me to the airport. I am indeed very blessed. Thank God for providing bountifully. =) God gives good gifts to those who ask indeed. (Matthew 7)
I'm also thankful that I found a wonderful church, which was again, introduced by another Japanese friend. It's a very small church, but each time I leave the church, I looked forward to meeting the people the next week.
Just today, 3 people in the church actually asked me if I would join them for lunch after service. What was amazing about this church is, I feel a sense of home even though I don't know most of the people. All I knew was we are a group of people worshiping the same God. That itself was very amazing and wonderful. There wasn't any fanciful instruments, only a keyboard and simple projection. But the whole service touched my heart very deeply. The songs were simple, the sermon was simple but personal, the prayer was simple but sincere. I left the service wanting to be part of the service team on the very 1st time I went.
Oh and the personnel in charge of approving the lending of books and materials in my school is a Christian. I prayed that the Lord would allow me to meet a Christian. The prayer was answered when she sat down beside me during lunch via another friend and was giving thanks for her food. God is amazing. =)
Just today, my friends and I went to Osaka Namba (central town area) for shopping. But I left them as I had to go for service. I told them we'd contact via handphone. But I discovered my handphone couldn't be used after service. I couldn't call them nor send them any sms (which I was able to previously in Tokyo). So i prayed, and traveled back to Namba from church. I walked along the Shinsaibashi street where we parted from. (that street is a very long stretch, i think it's equivalent to the whole stretch from Tangs plaza to Plaza Singapura or even longer) What was worse was when I went back, it was so crowded that even if I walked pass my friends, I probably won't know. God is good, I spotted them in a shop after walking for 1.5hrs.
I'm thankful for limited technology. For difficulties. But especially for a God who listens to prayers. =)
