I went for another service today. There was this song that brought me to tears as I was singing. It was 'Blessed be Your name'

'Blessed' also means to praise. As I was singing the song, I found the lyrics so meaningful yet amazing to utter.

There was one line that goes

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

I sang that from my heart, tearing because I've walked through the wilderness, I've walked through the difficulties that brought lotsa pain.

And the song continues with

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

It was nice to make a decision, as much as my heart was inclined to be upset with bad happenings, to 'Bless the Lord'. (:

And the sermon was very nice. I was reminded about the spiritual warfare that we are facing. The speaker was very funny. Anyways

He talked about the greatest warfare being in the family. How the most horrible and hurtful words comes from the spouse. And this is because many times, the person is deceived by the accuser/liar to believe the lies and become an instrument of the devil. But he also reminded us that our enemy is not the spouse, but the evil force in the spiritual realm which we cannot see.

That helped me a lot. Not that I'm married yet, but the part about how I find that believers can say very horrible things (well, me included :S) and ya... I guess I'll leave it as that. But I'll resolve to stand firm against him and love. (:

It's a beautiful morning. Oops, afternoon, the weather is so nice and cooling and refreshing I thought it's morning. Heee..

Just came back from christian meeting/fellowship and ... Just thought I'd post something up here. I have lotsa things in my head. Ha, that's why I kinda want an iphone or something for me to post my thoughts whenever I have any. Thought of twitting too, but it's too um, short. Can't really express much.

1st, I'm very thankful to God, to see how He's restoring me to a fruitful state, with progress each week, since a few weeks ago. And I'm thankful how He didn't answer me according to my pleas and cries while I was in my spiritual slump. I was hoping He would just pull me out with some miracle, or like a few years ago, having some guy appear out of nowhere and sharing the gospel to me. This time, it was actually from His word.

John 14:21
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.

I have been wanting God to 'show Himself to me' in some 'miraculous' manner like how He did last time (which wasn't THAT kind of miraculous manner). And in my head I was thinking that if God Himself doesn't restore me spiritually, how can I even take them step of obedience. But ... this is going to be mind boggling.

As I was figuring out for many months, in fact at least a year, until last few weeks, I come to realize that taking that step of obedience out of faith in Him is the way for God to 'show Himself' to me. I testify to this verse (John 14:21) That when I took that step of obedience in Him, God reveals and shows His love for me and I come to a deeper knowledge of who God is. And that actually motivates me to continue to obey Him to doing greater things.

And for the past few weeks, (actually years - not too many years tho, but more than 1 year) I have actually come to lay down this issue which I found it very hard to be obedient in. And I was actually justifying it that I was probably doing right. (Truly, the studying of His word clears my mind so much to do know is truly right) I shan't reveal it here cause it's a bit touchy. :S It involves some people. But ya, I'm so clear that I should be making a certain decision but instead of associating it with the people involved (that I'm actually very hurt by), I think I will lay it down in God's hands to love them. (: But that decision will be made not because of these people, now I'm clear. (: But I shall follow what the Lord leads, and will take faith should He lead me elsewhere. (:

So anyways, to even have that faith takes sometimes the 'faith' of another person. But ya, after hearing the sharing of another 'faith-ey' person, I felt very ministered to and thus coming to the point to desire to obey. That's the amazing thing abt the Christian community God has instituted isn't it. It's the restoring of another brother (or sister) through another brother.

Galatians 6:2
Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.(:

Wooh oh, it's a loong post.

2nd, my room is so messy! And I'm saying this in reference to the previous post, sin is lawlessness!

I realize I have been very lazy with that 'sin' in me while I was in the spiritual slump. I need to take actions to obey (of course with the prayer of righteous people) - that's why my decision (relating to point 1)

Anyways, I shall be obedient and not lazy. I have been justifying my tiredness instead of asking God to help me. Perhaps I should be dropping some stuff, taking faith in the Lord to help me do so, so that I can free up more time to do His work - like keeping the room neat, or serving my parents at home. (A bit interlinked tho - my dad's been nagging/upset with heee.. my mum's beginning to nag too. Argh, my room's a pig sty!)

3rd, while I was at the christian meeting/fellowship, I thought about my job. I haven't been daring to tell ppl that I'm a Christian, or that I'm doing certain things because I am a Christian. I'm thankful in a sense because I didn't want to dishonour/disglorify (if there's such a word haha) God. I felt powerless to be victorious in my workplace. But now, that's something that I want to do. To be prayerful and remain in Him such that every word or action comes out of love for man because of the love I have from Christ. (:

4th, with respect to lawlessness, I have been justifying and entertaining certain thoughts, which now in soberness, I realize I shouldn't have. I should be nailing it to the cross and not entertaining it no matter how harmless it seems. Shall spend time doing and thinking of more fruitful things like language learning or other stuff. Me wants to learn dancing! I missed dancing since secondary school. And probably continue in my Japanese. I'm so lousy. ): After I started learning Hebrew, I realize that my Japanese foundation is quite weak. Cause the way they taught me Hebrews is very good. I feel that my foundation is being laid up strong and good even though they don't teach me to form sentences now.

Anyways, that's all folks. Hahaha, I think a lot eh.

1 John 3:4
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

It was only today as I was reading this during my quiet time when I realize that people who sin break the law not because they knew the law and break it, but because they have no boundaries, that's why they 'break' the law.

When you start justifying what you're doing, be careful that you could be playing with the boundaries and become 'lawless'.
